Hermione clutched onto the pass tightly, whispering to her friend in hushed tones as the Slytherins snarked back and forth, obviously preening at the recognition from the new professors, no matter how minor.
As they came upon the Potions classroom, and opened the door as quietly as possible, the Gryffindors were pinned with Snape's patented glare.
"And just where have you been?" The Potions Master drawled
"In Defense class, sir. We have a-"
"Miss Granger, Ten points from Gryffindor. And Mr. Malfoy, ten points from Slytherin. I do not tolerate tardiness. It would serve you well to remember that." The Slytherin head spun on his hee
There's a volume of Poe or two or six scattered around the room, and a paring knife rusting away on the nightstand, no fruit in sight. Melatonin tablets lay crushed into the filthy shag carpet, maybe white once. There's a shattered picture frame by the window, faded smiling faces peeking from behind the spider webs. Bambi lies abandoned under the bed, little more than a cot, with filthy sheets that smell like salt and fear. A tear stained pillow lies on the floor. A filthy pair of trainers play hide and seek, and keep the old cassette company. Well loved picture books are thrown haphazardly at the top of the closet, which is filled with clot
Careful what you do, don't make me fall in love with you.
Never dream that dream, night to shade and dawn to day,
Henna tattooed grace, oh blackened stars do fade.
Do not dance this race, ah! Dearest, darling, May.
Spectral summer bud, herein tall grasses lie.
A heart, as dark as mud, come now don't be shy.
Careful what you do, do not make me fall in love sweet star.
Dawn, t'was all a dream. Come, now let me hear you scream!
I beg you not to dream dark star, I beg you not to dream.
Rhythm and Rhyme disrupted, this poor heart corrupted.
These skies they fade to gray, and you can't make me stay.
Let tears wash pain away, and you
I have no idea how it feels, to be absolutely loved.
I am the player without the ovation, the villain without the adoration.
I am the darkness without the stars, lying silent, and watching the passing by cars.
I have no idea how it feels, to be utterly loved.
I am the dreamer, oh so filled with fear.
Life is filled with those infuriating, condescending 'my dears'
I have no idea how it feels to be loved.
I have no idea how it feels to be seen.
I have been the rip, relief.
The tear, bleed, relief.
The red razor line.
I have been loved.
They never wanted me
They want the spotless china doll
In the spotless white dress
They only ever wanted she.
They never wanted me
Only ever the unobtainable perfection
Birthed from tainted dreams
They only ever wanted she.
They never wanted me.
They want the silent porcelain girl
Perched on the shelf
They only ever wanted she.
They never wanted me.
They want the china girl, so fragile, so beautiful,
So unnatural.
They only ever wanted she.
They want the silence
Perfection
Beauty
Spun glass made to look human.
They never
Wanted
Me.
Only ever the her I can never be.

I wanted to tell you
Once upon a rememberance
The words that fell from your lips
Those were colder than the frost on the ground
They shattered my heart
I left the shards
Glimmering like blood-soaked reassurances
You gave pretty platitudes
I spat them back with broken
Wrath
When you flinched away
I lunged
Fangs double-edged as I cut into you
Cruel words and shared memories
Poisoned by my tongue and your treatment
Of me

Braced in the Storm
Play with me in the far side of heaven
Come and dig your hand deep into my heart
Reach into the sky unending
A forge of infinite wonder
Of which you are a part
Staccato steps
Seven
To be precise
Dancing in the brace
Soul fluttering in the breeze
Hands encased in ice
Wings arched in grace
Voice full of lending
Ease
Your mind is full of thunder
To counter the lightening in your
Soul

Sentinel of Kindness
Lighting up the darkened ways
With the foresight of one who's traveled them
Before
While others are walking them in twaine
Brightening up the shadows
That oft cloud the mind
With sweetness and smiles
Warmth with no expected pain
Kindness in excess
Striking to the heart
With such excelling words
You, m'dear, are a work of art
In league with others
With Agony Aunts
And a supportive group
You give hope to some so that
They may escape an oppressive loop
You're a leader
A believer in part
You've given me hope
So I know you're a work of heart

THE WIZARD, THE TURK, AND THE SINFUL ENTOURAGE
Against the backdrop of Midgar's night sky a lone tawny owl flew, a letter tied to its leg. This letter was sealed within a large, thick cream-colored envelope, sealed with a dark carmine wax, stamped with a crest of an eagle, a badger, a lion, and a serpent, around a large letter 'H'. The owl flew into the topmost window of the penthouse office of the ShinRa compound. The office of Rufus ShinRa Senior, Mr. ShinRa sat at his desk working (A.N NO WAY!!!) on paperwork he claimed was 'important.' The owl landed upsetting a stack of papers, Rufus cursed and tried to shoo the nocturnal bird away

I just got back from METROCON 2012 and boy are my feet tired!
I saw some of THE BEST (in my opinion) cosplay ever, and now I have some ideas so I can make mine even better next time. I also got to meet up with some friends of mine and got help with some of my fics. I have also collected myself some merch. I recommend any anime/video game/comic/manga/whatever fans to visit an anime con someday.
